Sarah is...dead.
Check out this wacko story out of the UK....
A man has been found guilty of murdering his estranged wife after she switched her facebook relationship status from 'married' to 'single.' According to AP;
"Edward Richardson, 41, stabbed wife Sarah, 26, to death in a "frenzied and brutal" attack at her parents' home in Biddulph, central England, last May after she altered her profile on the Internet social networking site."
Obviously this guy was a raging psycho bitchboy and was probably going to do some damage with or without this facebook business but these shenanigans got me thinking about facebook and why some people feel the need to share their relationship status with the rest of us. Seriously. I mean it's one thing if you're married or in a super long-term relationship, I get that, but I don't understand those people who are with someone new for like, five minutes and run to facebook to let the world know they're now 'in a relationship', only to have to change it back about three weeks later when that shit tanks. Seriously, why do this to yourself? Also, who are these people who are not running for the hills when someone they've known for like, two weeks is already facebooking your relationship? I'd be totally weirded out and would shut that shit down. I say you gotta be together for at least six to nine months before taking that shit to facebook or you are asking for troubs. My personal favourite are the people who change their status to 'single' after fighting with their boyfriend/girlfriend, then change it back to 'in a relationship' and then 'single' again a month later and so on. Like, seriously? I mean, high school was good times and all but it's time we moved on, n'est-ce pas?
In the meantime I hope the facebook status of the dude who murdered his wife currently says 'Edward is getting mercilessly ass-raped in jail.'
